Online booking for a Sydney chauffeur service — WordPress case study
Sydney City Chauffeurs provides premium ground transport across New South Wales. I built their website on WordPress and set up an online booking engine, so customers can price a trip, choose a vehicle and pay without picking up the phone.

The problem
For a chauffeur service, every booking that has to go through a phone call or an email thread is friction for the customer and admin work for the business. Customers booking an airport pickup or a wedding car want to see the price and lock in the ride straight away, at any hour.
The business also offers a wide range of services, from airport and cruise transfers to corporate travel, weddings, events and hourly hire. Each needed its own page to explain it and to be found in search.
What I built
- A WordPress site built with Elementor, with pages for each service: airport transfers, cruise ship transfers, corporate travel, weddings, special events and concerts, hourly hire, and metered taxi and Cabcharge
- A 4-step booking flow: ride details, vehicle, contact details, booking summary
- Distance-based and hourly bookings, with waypoints and one-way or return trips
- Google Maps address autocomplete and route distance for pricing
- Vehicle selection filtered by passengers, luggage and vehicle type, across people movers, premium SUVs, limousines and executive sedans
- Online payment by card through Stripe, or PayPal
- Contact forms and a WhatsApp chat button for customers who prefer to talk first
Configure a proven booking engine instead of building one
Chauffeur booking is a well-understood problem: routes, vehicles, pricing and payment. Configuring a dedicated booking engine inside WordPress got the business taking real bookings far sooner than a custom build would have, at a fraction of the cost.
WordPress and Elementor so the client can edit
Services, fleet and copy change over time. With WordPress and Elementor, the business can update its own pages without waiting on a developer, and I handle the parts that need one.
Challenges and how they were solved
Pricing that matches how people actually book
Some customers need a point-to-point transfer and others want a car for the afternoon. Supporting both distance and hourly bookings, plus waypoints and return trips, means the quote reflects the real journey instead of forcing everything into one pricing model.
